My own transformation from unhappiness to joy--

I began my transformation from a successful trial lawyer in Texas to my current role as an Episcopal Priest in the Diocese of New York. I am the Priest-in-Charge at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Somers, NY, an historic and small community in Northern Westchester County. My role as priest includes invigorating those in my parish and the surrounding community to find ways to serve others less fortunate than us. This transformation began when I went on a mission trip with my church to serve in helping to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.

My new story---

I have followed that work with other areas of service, including serving the homeless in New York City; rebuilding dilapidated homes in McDowell County, West Virginia, the most economically deprived county in the entire country. I have created new programs in my parish to serve mothers and babies who are dealing with the difficulties of unplanned pregnancies; and to recruit new volunteers for helping rebuild badly dilapidated homes in McDowell County, West Virginia.
